See, you'd be much better at hitting on me. Clearly what I respond to is logical innuendo.

I think in my case, he could claim to have a slight case of yellow fever. Pale yellow fever? Mild jaundice?

I like the subtle implication that your being part Asian was a choice on your behalf to become alluring to men like him, and that it was a canny one. Good work, Suzie!

I'm reminded of the time I heard my old co-worker hollering into his phone to a friend who also had a bad case of yellow fever, trying to persuade him to come to a bar with us: "Dude, there’s gonna be Asians there! <i>Asians!</i>"

Anyway, that guy's response (for which you set him up, so he needn't worry about retiring it unless someone sets him up again in the same way) didn't make sense. If you left your name at <i>your</i> home, why would you be able to find it at his? Such a search would be a fruitless waste of time. It would have been better to ask if you would like him to come home with you and help you look for it. Maybe it's lost between two couch cushions; perhaps if you sat on the couch and had a glass of wine, you might spot it. Later it might be worth suggesting that some squirming around on the cushions might help your name work its way back out from under them. And so on.

The best question for that, I find, is "Can I get into your knickers, lady?"

This is what I'm saying! Asking stilted questions like that is no way to get into a lady's knickers.

"What are your three major goals for life?" What was this? A lunch date or a job interview? I'm surprised he didn't ask you where you saw yourself in five years time, or what your greatest weakness was, or to ask how you would handle conflicting deadlines.

For serious! Blue is basically the grossest beer in the history of beers. Is it any coincidence that the worst sex I've ever had was with a Blue drinker? I think not!

Then you are fully forgiven. Also, as a fellow fan of KLB raspberry wheat ale, Candace wants to add that she likes you because you hate Blue. "Oh my god," she says. "When my aunt offered me one, I thought I was going to retch. I thought it would just taste like a normal beer, but it was horrible."

It was! And that last line of my post was fully directed towards you. I chose an oblique apology, rather than tearing my hair and rending my garments whilst begging for forgiveness, so I'm glad you picked it up.
